HELD AT OUR BASE

OPEN STUDIO GROUPS  (11.30am- 2.30pm)

Our Studio Groups are open to anyone registered for our Core Programme. This creative hub gives our community space to develop ideas, collaborate on creative projects/exhibitions and share creative skills and techniques with each other.

Once registered you can drop in to any of our studio sessions. Some of these sessions are ‘volunteer-led’ and some are led by visiting tutors (‘tutor-led’). There are often two Open Studio Groups each week (usually Monday and Tuesday). We encourage people who are fully engaged in their own practice to attend the ‘volunteer led’ sessions and people who would benefit from the direction of a tutor to attend the ‘tutor led’ sessions.

All tutors have different areas of practice. Some tutors may be able to demonstrate printing or textile techniques for example, but all will also be able to start you off with a project that fits with your skills and interests, adapted around ideas you may bring.

Anyone attending the volunteer-led Studio Group will be welcome to use the space and materials provided. People attending this group will be asked to adhere to some basic house rules that ensure the safe running of the studio and outlines shared responsibilities.

Information about what’s happening is shared weekly via texts and a 3 month calendar is also available upon request.

MONDAY MASTERCLASSES (11am-3pm)

On alternate Mondays from Jan 2023 we will be hosting  a series of Master Classes with professional artists who have developed their own unique approach and/or techniques. Artist’s will share their practice with us and demonstrate techniques so we can have a go ourselves.

To take part in ANY of these Studio Based Groups please register for our Core Programme by emailing : participate@creativerecovery.co.uk or texting your name to 07916 282 064 and we will return your call to arrange an 1-to-1. Our Core Programme is for people experiencing mental health issues.
